Project Description
The AMS10 Data Centre facility accommodates 14 customer rooms with a total white space of 9,320m2 with an IT load capacity of 26MW.
Ethos Input
Ethos provided full MEP design services, through to detailed design and handover of the project.
Unique / Key Features
The data centre facility was installed with a Utility Power Intake Station (20kV) operated by Liander, including 15MVA isolation transformers. The facility included power transformers and a diesel engine generator plant with a power backbone of switchgear, power controls and control cabling along with a TN-C/TN-S power system earthing arrangement. The facility was also equipped with a lightning protection system. Normal and emergency lighting, both internally and externally, was provided and the project was bolstered with UPS, UPS bypass panel, UPS batteries and battery panel to ensure smooth running of the data centre.
Ethos also designed safety and security measures for the data centre that included a security system comprising CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm, a fire detection and protection with Inergen fire suppression system, an EPMS monitoring system, leakage detection, and structured cabling. From a thermal management perspective, the data centre was equipped with ATES and CRAH cooling, CGMs with ATES/chiller integration and dry cooler integration. Additionally, ventilation and humidity control systems, heat pumps, boilers, as well as LTHW, CHW and fan coil units for office were also installed. The transformer rooms were designed with forced air cooling and Struxureware BMS was installed for critical updates.
